Our Verdict
For merchants looking for a quick boost in sales and customer acquisition around specific product launches or promotional periods, Giveaway Ninja • Giveaways is the better choice. Its features cater towards viral marketing and leveraging purchase behavior. Conversely, Happy Birthday Emails by UW is ideal for merchants prioritizing long-term customer retention and building a loyal customer base through personalized experiences. The automated nature of Happy Birthday Emails makes it a great "set it and forget it" solution for building lasting relationships. A store can run both concurrently, with Giveaway Ninja handling immediate demand generation, and Happy Birthday Emails ensuring long-term retention. However, if budget is a constraint, one app is preferable based on which strategy is most congruent with the store's broader marketing plans.
