GiveBack vs Simple Affiliatefor Shopify (2026)
GiveBack and Simple Affiliate, while both falling under the 'Affiliate Programs' category on Shopify, target vastly different marketing strategies. GiveBack positions itself as a fundraising solution for schools, teams, and nonprofits, enabling merchants to integrate donation campaigns directly into their online store. It focuses on simplified setup, real-time progress tracking, and creating a transparent fundraising experience, eliminating manual paperwork. In contrast, Simple Affiliate is a comprehensive affiliate marketing platform designed to help merchants manage influencer and referral programs. Its strength lies in automating affiliate onboarding, commission payouts, and tax form management, providing a robust solution for expanding reach through partnerships. The primary difference lies in their core purpose. GiveBack is about supporting charitable initiatives through sales, whereas Simple Affiliate is about driving sales through affiliate marketing and partnerships. GiveBack emphasizes ease of use for non-profit organizations and their supporters, while Simple Affiliate offers more advanced features for managing a large network of affiliates and customizing commission structures. The apps share the 'Affiliate Programs' category because GiveBack creates a unique kind of affiliate setup, where the 'affiliate' is a fundraising group or individual sharing a unique link. This is a non-traditional, but valid, implementation of the affiliate model.

Our Verdict
Choosing between GiveBack and Simple Affiliate hinges on the merchant's specific needs. If the merchant is looking to support charitable organizations and leverage fundraising campaigns to boost sales, GiveBack is the clear choice. Its simplicity and focus on transparency make it ideal for integrating fundraising into the online store. However, for merchants aiming to build a robust affiliate marketing program, complete with influencer management, commission structures, and tax automation, Simple Affiliate offers a more comprehensive and feature-rich solution. The significantly higher number of reviews suggests that Simple Affiliate has a larger user base and a more established presence in the affiliate marketing space.
Ultimately, if you prioritize social responsibility and simple fundraising, GiveBack is a strong option. If your focus is on aggressive sales growth through a dedicated affiliate program, Simple Affiliate is the more suitable platform, despite potentially having a steeper learning curve due to its broader feature set.
