Givz Donation Driven Marketing vs RevUp: Cart Upsell & Free Giftfor Shopify (2026)
Givz Donation Driven Marketing and RevUp: Cart Upsell & Free Gift both aim to increase AOV and revenue for Shopify merchants, but they approach this goal from drastically different angles. Givz leverages charitable donations as incentives, appealing to socially conscious customers and differentiating itself from traditional discount strategies. It's designed to increase AOV, conversion, and LTV through donations tied to various purchase conditions. RevUp, on the other hand, focuses on classic upsell and cross-sell techniques, employing AI-powered product recommendations, free gifts, and bundle offers to entice customers to add more to their carts. It aims to optimize the shopping journey with strategically placed offers and incentives. Because RevUp is new and has zero reviews, its value proposition is harder to verify compared to Givz.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a unique and potentially impactful marketing strategy that aligns with socially conscious consumers, Givz Donation Driven Marketing is the more attractive option. The existing positive reviews provide some validation. The ability to tie donations to specific products or order values offers flexibility and control. RevUp: Cart Upsell & Free Gift, while potentially effective, is a less proven solution due to its lack of reviews. If a merchant is primarily focused on classic upsell tactics and wants features like AI-driven recommendations and free gift offers, and is willing to take a chance on an unproven app, RevUp might be worth exploring. However, Givz carries a lower risk profile and more verifiable initial value.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a new Shopify store?
Givz is likely better for a new store. The existing reviews give it some credibility, which is crucial for new store owners. A new store needs to start earning trust, and a zero review app might not be the best start.
Which app offers more flexibility in campaign customization?
RevUp likely offers more flexibility in campaign customization. Its features, like customizable widgets and AI recommendations, suggest a greater degree of control over the upsell experience. However, this flexibility may come at the cost of increased complexity and setup time.
Does Givz or RevUp have the potential to increase customer loyalty?
Both apps have the potential to increase customer loyalty, but in different ways. Givz fosters loyalty through shared values and social impact, appealing to customers who appreciate a company's commitment to charitable causes. RevUp aims for loyalty through enhanced shopping experiences and perceived value from promotions and free gifts.
How do the costs of Givz and RevUp compare?
The provided data doesn't indicate the cost for either app. However, merchants should factor in not only the app subscription fee but also the cost of the donation incentives (Givz) or the free gifts/discounts (RevUp) when evaluating the overall value.
Which app is easier to set up and manage?
Based on the features described, Givz appears easier to set up and manage. The rules for donation incentives ('10% of all sales to charity', 'spend over $80 get 5% for charity') are relatively simple to implement. RevUp, with its customizable widgets, AI recommendations, and bundle builders, likely requires more configuration and ongoing management.
