Givz Donation Driven Marketing vs WeForestfor Shopify (2026)
Givz Donation Driven Marketing and WeForest both aim to enhance the customer experience and drive sales through charitable giving, but they differ significantly in their approach and target audience. Givz focuses on boosting AOV, conversion, and LTV by allowing merchants to set up various donation incentives tied to specific sales triggers such as minimum spend, product types, or coupon codes. It is geared towards merchants looking for immediate, measurable sales uplift using donations as a marketing tool. WeForest, on the other hand, positions itself as a sustainability solution, enabling merchants to integrate tree planting into their business model. It targets eco-conscious shoppers and promotes customer loyalty by allowing customers to contribute to reforestation efforts with their purchases. WeForest emphasizes brand reputation and long-term environmental impact over immediate sales metrics. Givz offers a flexible, coupon-code based approach to donation driven marketing. This suggests an A/B test friendly app with more immediate controls. WeForest seems to prioritize automating reforestation contributions linked directly to purchases. The lack of reviews for WeForest is a cause for concern, despite its compelling mission. The contrasting ratings and review counts suggest Givz has established market presence and a base of satisfied customers. While both provide tools to integrate donations with purchases, one focuses on sales strategies and the other on long-term environmental impact.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a data-driven approach to boosting sales metrics like AOV and conversion through donation incentives, Givz Donation Driven Marketing is the clear choice. The positive rating and existing user base provide confidence in its effectiveness. However, for businesses genuinely committed to sustainability and seeking to build a brand around environmental responsibility, WeForest offers a more aligned solution. Though unrated and lacking reviews, its core function of automatically integrating tree planting directly addresses the needs of eco-conscious shoppers. A merchant would want to weigh the risk of the unproven app against their environmental values.
In conclusion, if it's a pure A/B test or sales lift play, Givz is recommended. If building a brand around carbon negativity is the business model, WeForest may be worth the risk.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Givz is likely better for increasing AOV because it allows merchants to set spend thresholds that trigger donation incentives, encouraging customers to spend more to reach those thresholds.
Which app is easier to set up and manage?
Based on the descriptions, WeForest appears to be simpler to set up, automating donations for all or specific product orders. Givz seems to offer more customization but may require more configuration.
Which app is more transparent about its impact?
WeForest provides real-time stats and metrics on tree-growing contributions, offering more transparency on its environmental impact than Givz, which doesn't mention specific reporting.
Which app is best for attracting environmentally conscious customers?
WeForest is explicitly designed to attract eco-conscious shoppers by integrating tree growing into the shopping experience. While Givz's charitable component can be appealing, WeForest's focus on reforestation is more directly aligned with environmental values.
Which app is a better fit for a store selling luxury goods?
This depends on brand strategy. If the goal is pure sales lift on luxury items, Givz is better due to A/B test potential. However, if the luxury good prides itself on sustainable practices or carbon neutrality, WeForest adds to that brand value.
