GlassOn vs Picture It: AR & Art Previewsfor Shopify (2026)
Both GlassOn and Picture It: AR & Art Previews aim to leverage 3D/AR/VR technology to enhance the online shopping experience for Shopify merchants. However, Picture It: AR & Art Previews is clearly positioned for art galleries, art stores, and decor shops seeking to showcase wall art in augmented reality. Its key features, such as automatic dimension import, auto-framing, and virtual showrooms, are specifically tailored to this niche. GlassOn, based solely on the limited data available, lacks a defined target audience or specialized features, making it difficult to assess its positioning accurately. The primary difference lies in the depth of functionality and target user. Picture It offers a comprehensive suite of tools designed to streamline the AR preview process for wall art, from dimension importing to virtual showroom creation. It explicitly mentions boosting customer confidence and conversions through realistic AR previews. GlassOn, with its minimal information, appears to be a much simpler solution, although the lack of details makes it hard to confirm. The significant difference in the number of reviews (5 vs. 35) also suggests Picture It has broader adoption and potentially more real-world usage data informing its development. While both apps share a 5/5 rating, the vastly different number of reviews significantly impacts the trustworthiness of the ratings. A larger review base typically provides a more representative and reliable assessment of the app's performance.

Our Verdict
Given the available information, Picture It: AR & Art Previews is the clear choice for Shopify merchants operating art galleries, art stores, or decor shops specifically looking to showcase wall art in augmented reality. Its tailored features like auto-framing, dimension import, and virtual showrooms address the specific needs of this niche. The significantly higher number of reviews provides more confidence in the app's reliability and effectiveness.
Without more information on GlassOn's functionality and target audience, it's difficult to recommend it over Picture It for any specific use case. If GlassOn proves to be a more general-purpose AR solution suitable for a broader range of product types and requires less technical setup, it *might* be a better fit for merchants with diverse product catalogs who want a simpler, less specialized AR implementation. However, this is purely speculative based on the limited data.
