Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on optimizing their existing Shopify website's performance and increasing AOV through strategic discounts, go> Addon Rewards presents a potentially useful, albeit unproven (given the lack of reviews), option. The appeal is in its targeted add-on offers leveraging Shopify Functions. However, the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating should warrant extreme caution. For merchants looking to establish a presence in the mobile app space, reduce reliance on web traffic, and engage customers through personalized mobile experiences, Shopney appears to be the stronger choice. Its high rating and substantial number of positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective app.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's broader strategy. If the goal is to maximize the value of each website visitor, go> Addon Rewards may be considered if they overcome the initial trust hurdle. If the goal is to create a dedicated mobile channel and build direct relationships with customers, Shopney seems to be the more established and reputable solution, despite belonging to the same generic Shopify category.
