GOAFFPRO ‑ Affiliate Marketing vs Microsoft Channelfor Shopify (2026)
GOAFFPRO - Affiliate Marketing and Microsoft Channel offer distinctly different approaches to business growth for Shopify merchants. GOAFFPRO focuses on leveraging existing customer relationships and incentivizing word-of-mouth marketing through a comprehensive affiliate program. It empowers merchants to build and manage their own affiliate network, providing tools for affiliate registration, referral tracking, and automated payouts. This app targets merchants looking to harness the power of influencers and loyal customers to drive sales. In contrast, Microsoft Channel aims to expand a merchant's reach by integrating with Microsoft's advertising platforms. It allows merchants to showcase products through paid and free listings on the Microsoft Search Network, Microsoft Audience Network, Bing Shopping tab, and Microsoft Start Shopping tab. The app is geared towards merchants who wish to tap into Microsoft's large user base and acquire new customers through advertising. While both aim for increased sales, they do so through drastically different strategies: one through internal relationships, the other through external advertising.

Our Verdict
Choosing between GOAFFPRO and Microsoft Channel depends heavily on a merchant's marketing strategy and resources. GOAFFPRO is ideal for businesses with an established customer base or strong influencer connections who want to amplify their reach through affiliate marketing. Its appeal lies in leveraging existing relationships for organic growth. Microsoft Channel, on the other hand, is better suited for merchants who have a budget for advertising and want to rapidly expand their customer base by tapping into Microsoft's extensive network.
In scenarios where a business is prioritizing cost-effective, relationship-driven growth, GOAFFPRO is likely the stronger choice. Conversely, if a business needs to quickly scale its reach and is willing to invest in paid advertising, Microsoft Channel offers a direct route to millions of potential customers. Businesses could use both but must consider the strategy behind the app.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a small business on a tight budget?
GOAFFPRO may be better for businesses with limited advertising budgets, as it focuses on leveraging existing relationships and incentivizing word-of-mouth marketing through affiliates. The initial investment is mainly on setting up the affiliate program, while Microsoft Channel usually needs an advertising budget.
Which app is better for reaching a completely new audience?
Microsoft Channel is designed to reach a new audience through Microsoft's advertising platforms. GOAFFPRO relies on existing customers and influencers to expand reach, which might not always translate to a completely new audience.
Does GOAFFPRO require me to actively manage advertising campaigns?
GOAFFPRO does not directly involve managing advertising campaigns in the traditional sense. Your affiliates are responsible for promoting your products, and you manage the affiliate program itself (approving affiliates, setting commission rates, etc.).
What kind of reporting does each app offer?
GOAFFPRO offers reporting on affiliate performance, referral tracking, and sales attributed to affiliates. Microsoft Channel provides real-time reporting on advertising campaign performance, reach, and conversions.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, you can use both apps simultaneously. GOAFFPRO focuses on affiliate marketing, while Microsoft Channel focuses on advertising on Microsoft's platforms. They are complementary strategies for driving sales and reaching different customer segments.
