Our Verdict
GoGenerosity - Donations is the better choice for merchants seeking to integrate charitable giving into their business model to actively boost revenue and customer retention on a global scale. Its focus on gift cards and real-time impact calculation provides a clear incentive for both merchants and customers. However, the lack of reviews for Tissue for Good Donation App is a considerable concern. Tissue for Good Donation App might be suitable for very small businesses or those specifically targeting customers in Singapore and requiring a simple, locally-focused donation solution. However, GoGenerosity's established reputation (despite the small number of reviews), broader feature set, and revenue-generating potential make it the stronger option for most Shopify merchants in 2026.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup, but GoGenerosity emphasizes 'no code needed' and a 'seamless UX/UI,' suggesting a potentially smoother initial experience. However, without direct testing, it's hard to definitively say.
Which app is better for a store with a global customer base?
GoGenerosity is explicitly designed for use across Shopify sites globally, making it the better choice for stores with international customers. Tissue for Good Donation App seems more locally oriented (Singapore).
Which app offers more detailed donation tracking?
GoGenerosity features a 'real-time impact' calculator, which seems to offer more dynamic and detailed tracking than Tissue for Good Donation App's 'simple dashboard.'
Which app helps in improving the revenue of the store?
GoGenerosity has a provision to convert 100% of donations into gift cards for the store, thus encouraging sales. Tissue for Good Donation App doesn't have a comparable feature.
Are the donation payments secure in both apps?
Both apps claim secure payment processing. GoGenerosity processes donations through Shopify Payments. Tissue for Good Donation App mentions Shopify Payments as well but also references Paynow, which can be either a payment method in Shopify Payments or a typo and it only supports Shopify Payments. In either scenario, the payments would be secure but Tissue for Good Donation App may be more restrictive.
