Our Verdict
The choice between these apps is determined entirely by the merchant's needs. If a merchant wants to enhance their customer experience by making it easy for customers to find their physical store or office, then Google Maps ‑ Store Locator is a viable option. If, however, the merchant operates a Shopify POS in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, compliance with TSE/RKSV regulations is paramount, and OpenFiskal TSE & RKSV for POS is the more suitable, and in some cases, legally required, choice. The high rating and greater number of reviews for OpenFiskal suggest a higher level of user satisfaction within its niche.
