GoSEO: Products SEO Optimizer vs SEO Speed Image Optimizerfor Shopify (2026)
GoSEO: Products SEO Optimizer and SEO Speed Image Optimizer both aim to improve a Shopify store's SEO, but they focus on different aspects. GoSEO is positioned as a comprehensive SEO booster, focusing on optimizing product page content, generating tags and keyphrases, and implementing structured data with a beginner-friendly approach that emphasizes overall SEO score improvements using recommendations. SEO Speed Image Optimizer, on the other hand, concentrates specifically on image optimization by resizing, compressing, and optimizing alt text, prioritizing site speed and image search visibility. GoSEO appears to target merchants looking for a broader, more holistic SEO solution that encompasses content creation and structured data, with emphasis on keyword generation and SEO scoring. Its strengths lie in its AI-driven content generation and structured data automation. SEO Speed Image Optimizer targets merchants specifically concerned with site speed and image SEO. Its strengths are automatic image optimization, bulk editing capabilities, and a focus on reducing image size without losing quality, which improves page loading times. While both apps technically fall under the SEO umbrella, GoSEO casts a wider net, while SEO Speed Image Optimizer has a more niche, yet crucial, focus on image-related performance. The review volume suggests more users have found SEO Speed Image Optimizer valuable, although GoSEO's rating is still very positive given its comparatively smaller review base.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking an all-encompassing SEO solution to optimize product descriptions, generate keywords, and automate structured data implementation, GoSEO: Products SEO Optimizer appears to be the better choice. Its focus on AI-driven content generation and comprehensive SEO scoring can be particularly beneficial for stores struggling with content creation and overall SEO strategy. However, for merchants primarily concerned with site speed and image search rankings, especially those with a large inventory of product images, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the clear winner. Its ability to automatically resize, compress, and optimize alt text for images offers significant benefits in terms of page load times and image SEO, and the bulk editing capabilities are particularly useful for larger stores.
It is worth noting that a strong SEO strategy may involve both apps - GoSEO for product content and structured data, coupled with SEO Speed Image Optimizer for handling the vital image optimization component. Some merchants may initially focus on image optimization with SEO Speed Image Optimizer before tackling overall SEO content with GoSEO.
