GoSweetSpot Dispatch vs Spaceship: Shipping Automationfor Shopify (2026)
GoSweetSpot Dispatch and Spaceship: Shipping Automation both aim to streamline the shipping process for Shopify merchants, but they cater to distinct needs and geographies. GoSweetSpot Dispatch focuses on Australian and New Zealand merchants already using the GoSweetSpot platform, providing a seamless integration for domestic shipments. Its key strength lies in its direct connection to existing GoSweetSpot accounts, allowing users to manage dispatch without switching platforms, thus minimizing manual steps and errors. Our Verdict
For Australian and New Zealand merchants already invested in the GoSweetSpot ecosystem and primarily shipping domestically, GoSweetSpot Dispatch provides a convenient and integrated solution. Its strength is in simplifying dispatch within an existing workflow. However, the lack of user reviews is a concern.
Spaceship: Shipping Automation is a better choice for merchants who require international shipping options, rate comparison across multiple carriers, and a more comprehensive shipping automation platform. The positive reviews and focus on global shipping make it a more attractive option for businesses with diverse shipping needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
GoSweetSpot Dispatch may offer simpler setup for existing GoSweetSpot users, as it directly leverages their existing account and settings. Spaceship requires initial configuration but might be easier for new Shopify users without a prior shipping service setup.
Which app is better for international shipping?
Spaceship: Shipping Automation is clearly the superior choice for international shipping, as it offers rate comparison across worldwide carriers and features like IOSS setup for EU shipments. GoSweetSpot Dispatch focuses solely on domestic shipments within Australia and New Zealand.
Which app is more cost-effective?
Cost-effectiveness depends on individual shipping needs and volume. Spaceship advertises exclusive discounts, suggesting potential cost savings. GoSweetSpot Dispatch integrates with existing GoSweetSpot rates, so cost savings will depend on the user's existing agreement with GoSweetSpot.
Does either app offer real-time tracking for customers?
Spaceship explicitly mentions sharing real-time tracking links with customers. GoSweetSpot Dispatch doesn't directly state this feature, implying tracking is handled within the GoSweetSpot platform itself, depending on the courier selected.
What happens if I don't have a GoSweetSpot account but want to use GoSweetSpot Dispatch?
You will need to register for a GoSweetSpot account in Australia or New Zealand before you can use the GoSweetSpot Dispatch app. The app is designed to integrate seamlessly with an existing account.
