GoWise: AI Product Description vs ST: Product & Collection Sortfor Shopify (2026)
GoWise: AI Product Description and ST: Product & Collection Sort are both Shopify apps in the 'Product display' category, but they address entirely different needs. GoWise focuses on automating and optimizing product description generation using AI, specifically ChatGPT, with an emphasis on SEO. It aims to save merchants time and improve search visibility. ST: Product & Collection Sort, on the other hand, automates collection merchandising, enabling merchants to optimize product placement within collections based on various data points and rules. GoWise targets merchants struggling with writing compelling and SEO-friendly product descriptions, especially those with large product catalogs and limited time. Its strength lies in AI-powered content creation and multi-language support. ST: Product & Collection Sort caters to merchants looking to improve collection performance by automating sorting and merchandising strategies. Its key advantage is data-driven optimization based on factors like revenue, views, and inventory levels, reducing manual effort and maximizing sales potential. While both aim to improve product visibility, GoWise does so by improving the product description itself, and ST: Product & Collection Sort does so by optimizing the order products appear in collections.

Our Verdict
For merchants who need to revamp their product descriptions and improve SEO, especially those with a large product inventory, GoWise: AI Product Description is the clear choice. The AI-powered content creation offers significant time savings. However, with only 7 reviews, merchants should carefully evaluate its performance.
On the other hand, if a merchant is primarily concerned with optimizing their collection pages to boost sales, reduce manual work, and leverage past order and GA4 data, then ST: Product & Collection Sort is the better fit. The significantly higher number of reviews (179) suggests a more established and reliable app, despite the lack of focus on SEO.
Common Questions
Can GoWise improve my collection page rankings?

Can ST: Product & Collection Sort help me write better product descriptions?
No, ST: Product & Collection Sort focuses on collection management and sorting, not product description writing.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
