Our Verdict
Choosing between GPE: Live Gold Price Editor and YouQuote: Request a Quote Form depends entirely on your business model. If you sell precious metal products and need dynamic, automated pricing based on fluctuating metal markets, GPE is the clear choice. Its ability to factor in various costs and markup is invaluable. Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
GPE setup involves configuring the formula based on your business costs and linking to metal price feeds. YouQuote focuses on designing a quote request form. Ease of use depends on individual comfort levels with formulas vs form builders. However, the complexity of precious metal pricing suggests GPE might require more technical knowledge.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, yes, but it depends on the products. You could use GPE for standard jewelry pieces with prices tied to metal value, and YouQuote for custom design requests where pricing is more complex and requires a personalized quote.
How do these apps impact customer experience?
GPE impacts experience by showing up-to-date, transparent prices. It can also display a metal price bar. YouQuote creates a personalized experience by allowing customers to request bespoke quotes and communicate their specific needs.
What are the limitations of relying solely on GPE for pricing?
GPE only considers factors you input into the formula. If you have unexpected costs (e.g., a sudden increase in shipping fees), the price will not automatically adjust for it. Also, it might not be suitable for products not directly tied to precious metal prices.
How can I use YouQuote most effectively?
Use YouQuote to gather detailed information about the customer's requirements. Ask targeted questions in the form to streamline the quoting process. Be prompt in responding to quote requests to maintain a positive customer experience.
