Gro One Click Upsell Funnels vs Smart Suggest Pro by Essenifyfor Shopify (2026)
Gro One Click Upsell Funnels and Smart Suggest Pro by Essenify both aim to increase Average Order Value (AOV) for Shopify merchants, but they employ fundamentally different strategies and cater to different needs. Gro One Click Upsell Funnels focuses on post-purchase upsells presented in a one-click format to minimize friction and cart abandonment. Its strength lies in its AI-powered funnel creation and ease of use. Smart Suggest Pro, conversely, centers on pre-purchase, personalized product recommendations shown throughout the store based on customer behavior. It emphasizes improving the shopping experience and guiding customers towards relevant products. The key difference lies in the timing and method of upselling. Gro One Click Upsell Funnels is suitable for merchants prioritizing immediate AOV boosts after the initial purchase is complete and who want a hands-off, AI-driven solution. Smart Suggest Pro is better suited for merchants looking to subtly guide customers towards related products during their shopping journey and improve overall engagement through personalized recommendations. App 1 has verifiable social proof of value whereas, based on the absence of reviews or ratings, there is little evidence of market traction or perceived value for App 2.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a quick and easy way to boost AOV immediately after purchase completion, especially those comfortable with an AI-driven solution, Gro One Click Upsell Funnels is the more compelling choice given its established rating and reviews. The post-checkout strategy minimizes the risk of cart abandonment, a significant advantage. The one-click purchase flow further enhances the user experience.
Smart Suggest Pro, while promising, lacks the validation of user reviews. It's better suited for merchants who prioritize subtle product discovery and personalized shopping experiences *throughout* the customer journey. However, without any performance data or social proof, it's a riskier investment compared to Gro One Click Upsell Funnels at this point in time. Merchants should heavily weigh the lack of rating/reviews and consider if the personalization strategy fits their business goals more than immediate AOV gains.
