Our Verdict
For merchants requiring a comprehensive solution to add and manage metafields across all areas of their Shopify store, including blog posts, customer data, and the shop itself, GrootApps ‑ Custom Metafields appears to be a better fit. Its global configuration and repeater field features offer extensive customization options. However, merchants primarily concerned with efficiently managing product, variant, and collection metafields in bulk, and who value detailed logging and faster data transfer using Shopify bulk APIs, should strongly consider Metafield Master. The higher review count for GrootApps, although still small, might suggest wider user adoption, but further research is warranted before making a final decision.
