Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants in 2026 requiring a robust metafield solution across their entire store and needing advanced field types like repeater fields, GrootApps ‑ Custom Metafields is the better choice. Its ability to handle various data types and its data import/export capabilities provide significant flexibility. However, for merchants primarily concerned with efficiently managing single-line text metafields specifically for products, especially if they require print slip integration, WebAppsLive ‑ Fields Manager offers a more focused and streamlined solution despite its slightly lower review count.
