GS Uploader vs Upload Center: File Uploadfor Shopify (2026)
GS Uploader and Upload Center: File Upload are both Shopify apps designed to enable customers to upload files, particularly images, and automatically calculate prices based on dimensions. GS Uploader emphasizes its suitability for printing businesses dealing with stickers, DTF, sublimation, and UV DTF, highlighting measurement unit options (inch & centimetre) and DPI checks. Its strength lies in its straightforward approach to calculating prices based on square or linear footage. Upload Center: File Upload, on the other hand, positions itself as a versatile solution for a broader range of custom product businesses, including phone cases, t-shirts, and engraved jewelry, touting features like customizable upload fields and automatic file renaming. The primary distinction lies in their target audience and feature depth. GS Uploader appears tailored for printing businesses requiring precise measurement-based pricing. Upload Center: File Upload offers more general custom product options along with features such as retaining uploaded files across page closures, suggesting a focus on improved customer experience and broader applicability. While both apps aim for automated pricing, Upload Center appears to provide more customizability in defining the conditions for that pricing.

Our Verdict
For merchants operating primarily in the printing industry and requiring precise square footage or linear footage-based pricing, GS Uploader offers a straightforward and focused solution. Its DPI check functionality further caters to printing-specific needs. However, the limited number of reviews suggests a need for caution.
Upload Center: File Upload is better suited for merchants offering a wider variety of customizable products. Its more customizable upload fields, file restoration features, and a greater number of reviews indicate a potentially more versatile and user-friendly experience. While it doesn't explicitly mention DPI checks, its broader feature set makes it a stronger choice for those prioritizing flexibility and customer convenience.
