Heartcoding Christmas Calendar vs Wizio: Post Purchase Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
Heartcoding Christmas Calendar and Wizio: Post Purchase Upsell serve fundamentally different purposes for Shopify merchants. Heartcoding Christmas Calendar focuses on boosting customer engagement and generating daily store visits during the month of December through interactive promotions and surprises inspired by advent calendars. It aims to create a festive shopping experience and expand CRM touchpoints. Wizio: Post Purchase Upsell, on the other hand, is designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) by presenting customers with targeted upsell or cross-sell offers immediately after a purchase, leveraging eligibility rules based on product, collection, quantity, and cart value. The primary difference lies in their timing and goal. Heartcoding Christmas Calendar is proactive, aiming to drive traffic and engagement throughout December, while Wizio is reactive, capitalizing on existing customers already in the checkout flow. Heartcoding Christmas Calendar is suited for businesses looking to build brand loyalty and create a festive atmosphere during the holiday season. Wizio is better suited for merchants focused on maximizing revenue per transaction through strategic post-purchase offers. The significant difference in user ratings (5/5 vs. 2.2/5) suggests a better user experience or higher satisfaction with Heartcoding Christmas Calendar, despite having fewer reviews.

Our Verdict
For merchants wanting to create a festive, engaging experience during December and prioritize customer loyalty, Heartcoding Christmas Calendar is the clear choice, especially considering its high rating. Its focus on daily surprises and CRM touchpoints makes it suitable for brands aiming to build relationships and drive repeat visits during the holiday season.
However, if the primary goal is to maximize revenue from existing traffic through post-purchase upselling and cross-selling throughout the year, Wizio: Post Purchase Upsell offers a focused solution with its eligibility rules and one-click offer acceptance. That said, the significantly lower rating should give pause, and merchants should carefully consider if the potential AOV increase outweighs the risk of a poor user experience. Further investigation and possibly trials are recommended before committing to Wizio.
