Hextom: Free Shipping Bar vs Klarna On‑Site Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
Hextom: Free Shipping Bar and Klarna On‑Site Messaging, while both falling under the Notifications and Banners categories on Shopify, serve vastly different purposes. Hextom focuses on incentivizing increased order values by displaying progressive free shipping messages, targeting a broad audience of Shopify merchants looking to boost sales. Its strength lies in its robust customization options, advanced targeting capabilities, and ease of use, making it accessible to merchants of all technical skill levels. Klarna On‑Site Messaging, on the other hand, caters specifically to merchants already using Klarna Payments. Its primary goal is to promote Klarna as a payment option throughout the customer journey, aiming to increase conversion rates by highlighting payment flexibility. However, the app's lower rating and limited feature set compared to Hextom suggest a narrower focus and potentially less user satisfaction. It will not add Klarna as a payment method, therefore merchants without an existing Klarna integration will find it useless.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants looking to increase their average order value and overall sales, Hextom: Free Shipping Bar is the clear winner. Its high rating, large number of reviews, extensive customization options, and advanced targeting capabilities make it a versatile and effective tool.
Klarna On‑Site Messaging is only suitable for merchants who are already using Klarna Payments and want to promote this payment option to their customers. Given its lower rating and limited functionality, merchants should carefully consider whether it offers enough value compared to other marketing and conversion optimization tools. If the merchant wants to accept Klarna payments, this app will not provide that functionality.
