Hextom: Workflow Automation vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Hextom: Workflow Automation and Zigpoll Customer Surveys address vastly different needs for Shopify merchants. Hextom focuses on streamlining internal operations through automation, acting as a 'virtual assistant' to remove repetitive tasks like fraud detection, inventory management (hiding out-of-stock items), and vendor notifications. Its primary strength lies in its ability to automate business processes without requiring coding knowledge, saving merchants time and allowing them to focus on growth. Zigpoll, on the other hand, centers around understanding customer behavior and improving the customer experience through surveys. It enables merchants to collect zero-party data via post-purchase, pre-purchase, on-site, email, and SMS surveys. Zigpoll leverages AI analytics to derive insights from survey responses, helping merchants optimize marketing spend, conversion rates, and overall business strategy. The key difference is their focus: Hextom optimizes internal efficiency, while Zigpoll focuses on external customer understanding. Hextom caters to merchants struggling with manual processes and seeking to automate operational tasks. Zigpoll is designed for merchants wanting to gain deeper customer insights to drive business improvements and personalize the customer journey. While both aim to improve business performance, they approach it from opposite angles: internal operations vs. external customer feedback.

For merchants drowning in repetitive tasks like fraud detection or vendor notifications and seeking to automate internal processes to free up time, Hextom: Workflow Automation is the clear choice. Its ease of use and focus on automating business operations makes it ideal for improving internal efficiency. However, if a merchant's priority is understanding their customers, optimizing their marketing spend, and improving conversion rates, Zigpoll Customer Surveys is the better option. The robust surveying capabilities and AI-driven analytics provide invaluable insights into customer behavior and preferences.
While both apps can contribute to business growth, they cater to different needs. A merchant heavily focused on operational efficiency should choose Hextom, while a merchant prioritizing customer-centric improvements should opt for Zigpoll. Ideally, a larger business might use both, but for smaller businesses on a budget, the choice depends on their immediate priorities.
