Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter vs Inventory Planner by Miplerfor Shopify (2026)
Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter and Inventory Planner by Mipler both aim to help Shopify merchants manage and display stock levels, but they target very different aspects of inventory management. Hey!Scarcity focuses primarily on creating a sense of urgency and scarcity on the product page to drive sales. It achieves this through visual cues like stock counters, countdown timers, and low stock alerts. These features are directly aimed at influencing immediate purchasing decisions. It enables to show real-time stock information based on thresholds the seller defines. Inventory Planner by Mipler, while also in the 'Stock alerts' category, appears to focus on a more comprehensive inventory planning and management approach; though details are missing, it's implied to be related to forecasting and optimizing stock levels. The key difference lies in their positioning. Hey!Scarcity is a front-end conversion optimization tool designed to immediately impact sales, especially for merchants who benefit from creating urgency. Inventory Planner by Mipler is likely a back-end tool for managing inventory levels strategically, suggesting a longer-term focus on efficiency and cost savings. The stark difference in the number of reviews also indicates different maturity levels and/or target audience size. Hey!Scarcity with 124 reviews suggests it is being used more commonly, while Inventory Planner by Mipler with 3 reviews might still be in its early stages or caters to a very specific niche.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking to immediately impact sales by creating a sense of urgency and scarcity on their product pages, Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter is the clear choice. Its focus is squarely on visual cues and psychological triggers to encourage purchasing. The significant number of positive reviews also suggests it is well-received and effective at what it does.
On the other hand, Inventory Planner by Mipler, while lacking detailed feature information, likely provides a more holistic view of inventory management, catering to merchants who require sophisticated planning and forecasting capabilities. If the primary goal is optimizing stock levels and reducing costs associated with inventory, Inventory Planner by Mipler might be worth exploring, but the limited information and reviews mean further research is necessary to determine its specific functionalities.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the description, Hey!Scarcity is likely easier to set up, as it focuses on configuring a few key display elements on the product page. Inventory Planner, with its implied focus on data analysis and planning, is likely more complex.
Which app is better for increasing sales immediately?
Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter is designed specifically to increase sales immediately by creating urgency and scarcity. Inventory Planner is more focused on long-term inventory optimization, not immediate sales boosts.
Do both apps handle real-time stock updates?
Hey!Scarcity focuses on displaying real-time stock based on thresholds. While Inventory Planner likely integrates with stock levels, its primary use case is inventory *planning*, so it's uncertain if the stock updates are presented directly to the shopper on the product page. It is more likely about internal inventory management.
Is Inventory Planner suitable for small stores?
Without more details about Inventory Planner's features and pricing, it's hard to say. If its functionality is complex and data-intensive, it might be more suitable for larger stores with more significant inventory management needs. However, it may also have features suitable for smaller stores with specific requirements.
What are the potential risks of using Hey!Scarcity's countdown timers?
Using Hey!Scarcity's countdown timers could be seen as deceptive if the scarcity isn't genuine. It's important to use these features ethically and honestly to maintain customer trust. Otherwise, customers may lose trust if the countdown timers reset frequently or inaccurately.
