Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter vs Size Recommendation by sizeezfor Shopify (2026)
Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter and Size Recommendation by sizeez, while both categorized under 'Product display' on Shopify, address vastly different aspects of the customer shopping experience. Hey!Scarcity leverages psychological principles of urgency and scarcity to encourage faster purchasing decisions. Its strength lies in its social proof (5/5 rating with 124 reviews) and straightforward implementation, offering merchants a quick way to potentially increase conversion rates by showcasing stock levels. It caters to merchants primarily focused on driving sales volume and have products that benefit from the perception of limited availability. Size Recommendation by sizeez, on the other hand, focuses on improving the customer's perceived fit, aiming to reduce returns and build customer satisfaction by providing AI-powered size recommendations. The fundamental difference lies in their approaches: Hey!Scarcity attempts to accelerate sales by creating purchase anxiety. Sizeez prioritizes reducing post-purchase disappointment and potential refunds. While Sizeez promotes AI and predictive analysis to solve sizing dilemmas, it currently lacks social proof and an established user base (0/5 rating with 0 reviews). Sizeez targets apparel merchants with a significant return rate due to sizing issues and who want to reduce return costs. Both apps claim seamless integration, but Hey!Scarcity's more basic functionality may result in easier deployment, and Sizeez relies on theme extension for functionality. The provided information doesn't directly discuss ease of use or integration difficulty beyond these general points.

Our Verdict
For merchants selling products where perceived scarcity can drive impulse purchases (e.g., limited edition items, seasonal goods), Hey!Scarcity Low Stock Counter is the safer bet given its existing user base and positive reviews. Its straightforward implementation and readily demonstrable value proposition make it suitable for a wide range of Shopify stores. For apparel merchants struggling with high return rates due to sizing issues and willing to take a risk on a new technology, Size Recommendation by sizeez presents a potentially valuable solution, but its lack of reviews makes it a riskier proposition. Merchants considering Sizeez should prioritize thorough testing and careful monitoring of its impact on return rates and customer satisfaction. The success of sizeez will heavily rely on the accuracy of it's AI powered sizing recommendations.
