Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb vs Shopify Checkout Blocksfor Shopify (2026)
Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb and Shopify Checkout Blocks both operate in the Shopify checkout space, but target fundamentally different merchant segments and offer distinct functionalities. Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb focuses on providing comprehensive control over payment and shipping methods at checkout, allowing merchants to rename, reorder, hide, and sort these options based on various conditions (cart contents, location, etc.) without code. Its primary value proposition is ease of use and increased customer satisfaction through personalized checkout experiences. Shopify Checkout Blocks, in contrast, offers a more limited, but still potentially valuable feature set, primarily focused on customizing the Thank you and Order status pages for all Shopify merchants. Crucially, its custom checkout features, including the ability to hide, rename, and reorder payment and delivery methods, are exclusively available to Shopify Plus merchants. This app is a Shopify Plus play and aims to give enterprise merchants more control. Because of the limited scope of features, it's not competitive for merchants not using Shopify Plus.

Our Verdict
For standard Shopify merchants seeking to customize their checkout payment and shipping options, Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb is the clear choice. Its ease of use and comprehensive feature set, available to all merchants, make it ideal for personalizing the customer experience without requiring coding expertise. The Shopify Checkout Blocks app's limited functionality to standard Shopify merchants outside of Thank You/Order pages makes it a non-contender for the average merchant looking to optimize checkout options.
Shopify Checkout Blocks is a worthwhile option *only* for Shopify Plus merchants who want deep checkout customization. Plus merchants can use it, with coding capabilities, to alter many parts of their checkout, though this is likely better than a code-free solution. It's also beneficial to all merchants who want to change Thank you and Order pages.
Common Questions
Can I customize my payment gateway options with both apps?
Yes, Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb offers payment gateway customization features to all Shopify merchants. Shopify Checkout Blocks only provides checkout customization, including payment gateway control, to Shopify Plus merchants.
Do I need coding skills to use either app?
Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb boasts zero coding required. Shopify Checkout Blocks uses a content block system for Order status and Thank you page customization, but checkout customization in the plus plan may require some coding skills.
Which app is better for a small business on a tight budget?
Without pricing information, it's hard to say definitively. However, given that Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb targets a broader audience and emphasizes ease of use, it's more likely to be a cost-effective solution for small businesses needing checkout customization.
Can both apps help improve customer satisfaction?
Yes, but in different ways. Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb can improve satisfaction by providing a more tailored and relevant checkout experience regarding payment and shipping options. Shopify Checkout Blocks improves satisfaction by allowing you to customize the thank you page and Order status page, and allowing for flexible checkout options for plus users.
If I upgrade to Shopify Plus, should I switch to Shopify Checkout Blocks?
Not necessarily. If you're happy with the level of payment and shipping customization you're getting from Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb, there's no need to switch immediately. You should evaluate if the additional features offered by Shopify Checkout Blocks specifically address your needs and justify the potential learning curve of moving to a new app. Shopify Checkout Blocks has a lower rating, and you may benefit by sticking to your current app.
