Hide Price vs MH Smart Size Price Calculatorfor Shopify (2026)
Hide Price and MH Smart Size Price Calculator, while both categorized under 'Pricing quotes,' serve drastically different purposes on a Shopify store. Hide Price focuses on access control and lead generation by hiding prices and 'Add to Cart' buttons from non-logged-in users, primarily targeting B2B wholesalers who want to collect customer data and manage pricing visibility. It prioritizes gating content behind a login wall, offering customization options for the hidden elements and catering to businesses that require customer authentication before displaying pricing. This app is more about controlling access to product information. MH Smart Size Price Calculator, on the other hand, empowers customers to customize products based on their dimensions (height and width) or quantity, enabling them to calculate prices and visualize the final product. It’s ideal for businesses selling customizable goods like wallpapers, fabrics, carpets, or windows. The emphasis is on providing a user-friendly experience that allows customers to obtain accurate price estimates and visualize their selections before purchasing. This functionality enhances the shopping experience by offering personalized pricing and product previews, potentially increasing conversion rates for businesses offering custom-sized products.

Our Verdict
For a business primarily focused on B2B sales and requiring user authentication to view prices, Hide Price appears to be a potentially suitable solution. However, the lack of reviews raises a red flag, as there's no user feedback to validate its effectiveness or ease of use. Merchants should proceed with caution or seek alternative apps with better reviews. In its current state, it is difficult to strongly recommend this app.
Conversely, MH Smart Size Price Calculator offers a demonstrably better user experience for businesses selling customizable products where price varies based on size or quantity. The 5/5 rating and 9 reviews suggest a positive user experience. If a merchant needs to provide customers with an accurate price estimate and visualize custom sizes, MH Smart Size Price Calculator is the clear winner. This app’s value proposition is stronger due to its focus on enhancing the customer shopping journey through custom configurations.
