Hide Sold Out by Stock‑y‑phi vs SG: Notify Me ‑ Back in Stockfor Shopify (2026)
Hide Sold Out by Stock‑y‑phi and SG: Notify Me ‑ Back in Stock offer distinct approaches to managing out-of-stock products on Shopify stores. Its strength lies in automating inventory visibility, handling multiple locations, and providing real-time notifications. SG: Notify Me ‑ Back in Stock, on the other hand, is *reactive*, concentrating on recapturing potential sales from customers interested in sold-out items. It focuses solely on sending email notifications when products are restocked. Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive solution to manage out-of-stock products and improve the overall customer experience, Hide Sold Out by Stock‑y‑phi is the clear choice. Its higher rating, more extensive features (including multi-location support and redirect options), and robust notification system make it a more valuable tool, especially for larger or more complex operations.
However, if a merchant's sole goal is to recapture potential sales by notifying customers about restocked items via a simple email system, and they are operating on a very tight budget or need something extremely simple to set up, SG: Notify Me ‑ Back in Stock could suffice, bearing in mind its significantly lower rating and fewer reviews warrant extra scrutiny of its reliability and support.
