HidePay: Hide Payment Methods vs Offerly: Make an Offer Button!for Shopify (2026)
HidePay: Hide Payment Methods and Offerly: Make an Offer Button! are both Shopify apps in the Pricing and Pricing quotes categories, but they address entirely different merchant needs. HidePay focuses on optimizing the checkout experience by allowing merchants to selectively hide payment methods, likely based on various factors like customer location, order value, or product type. The goal is to streamline the checkout process and potentially increase conversion rates by presenting only relevant payment options to the customer. Offerly, on the other hand, introduces a "Make an Offer" button on product pages, enabling customers to propose a price they are willing to pay, fostering negotiation and potentially increasing sales by capturing customers who might otherwise abandon their cart due to price concerns. Offerly positions itself for stores where price negotiation is a viable sales strategy. The substantial difference in review count suggests HidePay has a significantly larger user base, implying broader applicability or earlier market entry. While both have high ratings, HidePay's larger sample size lends more weight to its score. Offerly is a more niche app and tailored to a specific use case.

Our Verdict
Choosing between HidePay and Offerly depends heavily on your business model and target audience. If your priority is streamlining the checkout process and providing a cleaner user experience by controlling which payment methods are displayed, HidePay is the clear choice. It's a broader solution applicable to many e-commerce stores aiming for higher conversion rates. However, if you operate in a market where price negotiation is common or you want to cater specifically to price-sensitive customers, Offerly is the better option. Consider whether your product pricing allows for negotiation and if you have the resources to manage the offer process effectively. Offerly is a more niche solution, but potentially very powerful in the right context. The higher number of reviews for HidePay could indicate more established reliability, but doesn't definitively make it the better choice overall.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without specific details about their interfaces, it's difficult to say definitively. However, given the simpler functionality of hiding payment options, HidePay is likely easier to initially set up. Offerly requires setting up the button and handling offer management workflows, which potentially adds complexity.
Which app is better for increasing sales?
Both apps aim to increase sales, but through different mechanisms. HidePay aims to reduce cart abandonment by optimizing the checkout process. Offerly aims to capture sales from price-sensitive customers who might otherwise not purchase. The best app for increasing sales depends entirely on the specific challenges your store faces.
Does HidePay support conditional logic for hiding payment methods?
The provided information does not specify whether HidePay supports conditional logic. Further research or app documentation is needed to confirm this feature.
Can Offerly integrate with existing discounting strategies?
The provided information doesn't specify Offerly's integration capabilities. You'd need to check the app's documentation to see if it can work in conjunction with other promotional tools.
Which app is better suited for a high-volume store?
HidePay is likely better suited for a high-volume store because a streamlined checkout process can have a significant cumulative impact on conversion rates. Offerly might become difficult to manage at very high volumes if the offer negotiation process requires significant manual intervention.
