HidePay: Hide Payment Methods vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
HidePay: Hide Payment Methods and Singleton | Verify Customers are both Shopify apps operating within the 'Pricing' and 'Pricing quotes' categories, but they address drastically different merchant needs. Our Verdict
The choice between HidePay: Hide Payment Methods and Singleton | Verify Customers hinges entirely on a merchant's specific needs. If a merchant is primarily concerned with optimizing the checkout experience by tailoring payment options, HidePay is likely the superior choice. Its high rating and significantly larger review count suggest a proven track record in this area. On the other hand, for merchants operating wholesale, membership-based, or B2B businesses who require strict control over customer access to pricing and purchasing, Singleton | Verify Customers is the more appropriate solution. The ability to verify customers, hide prices, and create custom registration forms directly addresses the unique challenges of these business models.
Common Questions
Which app is better for reducing checkout abandonment?
HidePay, by streamlining payment options, is likely more effective at reducing checkout abandonment. Singleton focuses on pre-purchase access control, not post-add-to-cart drop-off.
Can both apps be used to offer different payment options to different customer groups?
Potentially. HidePay could hide payment options based on customer tags. Singleton hides all pricing and add to cart for disapproved users but doesn't manage specific payment options for approved users. Further investigation of HidePay's capabilities is needed to fully evaluate its customer segmentation abilities at the payment method level.
Which app requires more technical expertise to set up?
Singleton | Verify Customers likely requires more technical expertise due to the complexity of customer verification, custom form creation, and integration with existing customer databases or CRM systems. Setting up HidePay would likely be a more streamlined process.
Does Singleton impact SEO?
Potentially. If the app hides content from search engine crawlers, it could negatively impact SEO. Merchants should ensure approved customer content is still accessible to search engines, or the app dynamically serves content based on user agent.
Which app is cheaper?
Pricing information is not available. Therefore, we cannot make a statement regarding the relative cost between these two applications.
