HIKO Social Login vs SHOPLOCK Login Requiredfor Shopify (2026)
HIKO Social Login and SHOPLOCK Login Required cater to very different Shopify merchant needs, despite both falling under the "Accounts and Login" category. HIKO Social Login focuses on streamlining the customer login experience and gathering customer data for marketing purposes. It offers a variety of login options, including social media accounts and email links, and integrates with popular marketing platforms like Klaviyo and Mailchimp. Its strength lies in providing a user-friendly and personalized login process that can boost customer engagement and improve marketing efforts. SHOPLOCK Login Required, on the other hand, prioritizes security and access control. It allows merchants to restrict access to their entire store or specific pages, ideal for businesses offering exclusive content, wholesale pricing, or private member areas. Its features include passcode protection, page exclusion, and disabling security features like right-click and copy-paste. While HIKO aims for easy onboarding and increased customer access, SHOPLOCK intentionally limits access to safeguard store content and create a sense of exclusivity. It's important to note HIKO only supports legacy accounts.

Our Verdict
HIKO Social Login is the clear choice for merchants looking to enhance their customer login process, collect valuable data for marketing, and integrate with popular marketing platforms. Its diverse login options and marketing integrations make it ideal for businesses focused on growth and personalization. However, its support for only legacy customer accounts is a significant drawback.
SHOPLOCK Login Required is better suited for merchants prioritizing security and control over access to their store or specific content. If you need to restrict access to wholesale products, exclusive content, or create a members-only area, SHOPLOCK provides the necessary tools. However, if seamless customer onboarding and marketing integrations are a priority, HIKO Social Login is the more appropriate option, assuming the limitation on legacy accounts isn't a dealbreaker.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
HIKO Social Login is explicitly stated to have an 'easy setup' process. SHOPLOCK doesn't explicitly mention ease of setup, suggesting it might involve more configuration related to access rules and page restrictions.
Which app is better for collecting customer information?
HIKO Social Login is designed to collect essential customer information like phone number, name, and country during the login process. SHOPLOCK does not explicitly mention any data collection capabilities.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but it might be redundant. SHOPLOCK focuses on restricting access, while HIKO streamlines the login process for those *allowed* access. Integrating them would require careful configuration to ensure both apps function as intended without creating conflicts. Given HIKO only supports legacy accounts, integration with SHOPLOCK might cause issues.
Which app is better for a wholesale store?
SHOPLOCK Login Required is likely the better choice for a wholesale store because it allows you to restrict access to products, collections, or the entire store, ensuring only approved wholesale customers can view and purchase products.
Does HIKO Social Login work with all customer accounts?
No, HIKO Social Login only supports legacy customer accounts. This is a significant limitation and should be considered when making a decision.
