HOOK Social Login vs LockPro: Password Protect Lockfor Shopify (2026)
HOOK Social Login and LockPro: Password Protect Lock, while both falling under the 'Accounts and Login' category, cater to vastly different needs. HOOK aims to streamline the customer login experience by offering social login options, reducing friction and potentially increasing conversion rates by eliminating traditional signup processes. This positions it as a customer acquisition and retention tool, focusing on ease of access. In contrast, LockPro is designed for access control and security. It's ideal for merchants operating B2B, wholesale, or private stores. It provides robust password protection features, content restriction, and analytics to manage user access. The focus is on limiting access and providing specialized experiences, as opposed to HOOK's broad accessibility focus. Therefore, their target audiences and core functionalities are largely disparate.

Our Verdict
For general eCommerce stores aiming to boost customer sign-ups and improve the user experience by simplifying the login process, HOOK Social Login is the clear choice. Its social login functionality streamlines access and can reduce cart abandonment. However, if your store operates on a B2B, wholesale, or private model and requires strict control over who accesses your products, pricing, or content, LockPro: Password Protect Lock is the far superior option. Its password protection, content restriction, and user management features are essential for managing access and maintaining exclusivity.
Common Questions
