HOOK Social Login vs Zoketo OTP Login with Phonefor Shopify (2026)
HOOK Social Login and Zoketo OTP Login with Phone both aim to streamline the customer login experience on Shopify stores, but they achieve this through drastically different methods and target different user preferences. HOOK Social Login allows customers to log in using existing social media accounts like Gmail, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Apple, eliminating the need for new account creation. This approach prioritizes speed and convenience for users already heavily invested in these platforms. The app boasts a 5/5 rating based on 24 reviews, indicating good user satisfaction. Its strength lies in its ease of setup and the familiar social login flow. Zoketo OTP Login with Phone, on the other hand, uses One-Time Passcodes (OTPs) sent to the customer's phone number for authentication. This approach is not rated and has no reviews, so its actual performance and usability are unknown. OTP login can be beneficial for merchants in regions where social media usage is lower or where customers prioritize security and control over their data. The advantage of Zoketo could be greater security as each login is confirmed through a unique code sent to the user's phone, unlike social media login which relies on the security of third-party accounts.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a quick and easy way to onboard customers and who believe their target audience frequently uses social media, HOOK Social Login is the clear choice. The app's positive reviews and straightforward social login functionality make it a low-risk option to enhance the user experience. The backend view of customer details is also a useful feature for merchants looking to understand their customer base.
However, for merchants prioritizing security or operating in regions where social media adoption is lower, Zoketo OTP Login with Phone *could* be a viable alternative, *if* it proves to be a reliable and user-friendly app. Given the lack of reviews and rating, it is risky to adopt, and the merchant will need to thoroughly test and validate the app before making it available to customers. Until Zoketo acquires user reviews and demonstrates effectiveness, HOOK Social Login is the safer and more attractive option.
