Hotjar Install vs SupaEasy: AI Functions creatorfor Shopify (2026)
Hotjar Install and SupaEasy: AI Functions creator are both Shopify apps targeting operational improvements, but they cater to vastly different needs. Hotjar Install simplifies the process of integrating Hotjar, a user behavior analytics platform, into a Shopify store. Its core strength lies in its ease of use, enabling merchants to track user behavior through heatmaps, session recordings, and surveys without any coding expertise. The target audience is Shopify store owners who want to understand how visitors interact with their website to optimize the user experience. In contrast, SupaEasy focuses on empowering merchants with advanced customization options for their checkout process using AI-generated functions. SupaEasy addresses the upcoming deprecation of Shopify Scripts by offering a no-code solution to generate and migrate functions for discounts, shipping, payment, and validation. Its strength is in providing Shopify Plus and standard merchants with the tools to customize their checkout experience beyond the limitations of the standard Shopify platform. This is especially useful for merchants who previously relied on Shopify Scripts or are looking for advanced checkout customization capabilities. While Hotjar Install offers ease of use for broad website behavior analysis, SupaEasy delivers very specific checkout-focused feature enhancements and provides AI assistance in building those enhancements.
