HTML Meta Keywords Builder EX vs MP ‑ Website Speedyfor Shopify (2026)
HTML Meta Keywords Builder EX and MP ‑ Website Speedy offer vastly different approaches to site optimization for Shopify merchants in 2026. HTML Meta Keywords Builder EX focuses on explicitly adding meta keywords to the HTML source code, aiming to improve organic search ranking by directly feeding keywords to search engines. Its core offering is adding meta keywords to different page types. However, its low rating and limited reviews suggest potential issues with effectiveness or user experience. The app targets merchants who believe meta keywords are still a significant SEO factor. MP ‑ Website Speedy, on the other hand, takes a holistic approach to website speed optimization. It concentrates on improving loading speed for both mobile and desktop users by employing techniques such as asynchronous loading, prefetching, and lazy loading. Its value proposition lies in improving Core Web Vitals, boosting SEO, CPA, ROAS, and conversions. The app aims to improve overall site performance and user experience, which in turn influences SEO and ad performance. Its high rating and a small number of positive reviews points towards a positive user experience. MP ‑ Website Speedy targets merchants looking for a comprehensive solution to improve website performance and its impact on SEO and advertising ROI.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, MP ‑ Website Speedy is the more sensible option. Its focus on website speed and Core Web Vitals aligns with modern SEO best practices and provides a more holistic approach to improving online performance. Given Google's ranking algorithms, prioritizing user experience (through speed) is far more effective than relying on meta keywords, which have been largely devalued.
HTML Meta Keywords Builder EX might appeal to merchants who still believe in the direct impact of meta keywords on search engine ranking, and are experiencing challenges in getting products discovered via search. However, given the low rating and limited reviews, proceeding with caution is advised, and thorough testing is recommended to validate any positive impact.
Common Questions
Are meta keywords still important for SEO in 2026?
While meta keywords were once a significant ranking factor, modern search engines like Google place much less emphasis on them. Other factors such as website speed, content quality, and user experience are now much more important.
Which app is easier to use?
Without user reviews specifically addressing ease of use, it is difficult to say definitively. However, MP - Website Speedy's description suggests a more automated process, potentially making it easier for less technical users. The low rating of HTML Meta Keywords Builder EX could indicate a more cumbersome user experience.
Which app provides a better return on investment?
MP ‑ Website Speedy explicitly aims to improve ROAS and conversions, making it more likely to deliver a tangible return on investment. While HTML Meta Keywords Builder EX promises improved search ranking, its impact on actual sales is less certain.
Which app is more relevant to mobile users?
MP ‑ Website Speedy directly addresses mobile website speed optimization, making it the more relevant choice for merchants focused on providing a good mobile experience. HTML Meta Keywords Builder EX does not specifically mention mobile optimization.
Should I use both apps together?
Using both apps could potentially be redundant and even counterproductive. Website speed is the greater factor in SEO today. The value gained from implementing an app with a low rating and very limited reviews, that targets an outdated element of SEO is very unlikely to have a positive impact.
