Hubify Product Custom Options vs OPTIS Product Options, Variantfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between Hubify Product Custom Options and OPTIS Product Options, Variant face a clear disparity. Hubify Product Custom Options, despite offering a range of custom option types including text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns, color swatches, delivery dates, and image uploads, suffers from extremely low user satisfaction, reflected in its 1/5 rating based on a single review. This suggests potential usability issues, bugs, or a lack of necessary features compared to alternatives. It positions itself as a solution for creating detailed product customizations, but its execution appears flawed. OPTIS Product Options, Variant, on the other hand, enjoys widespread popularity and high user satisfaction, evidenced by its perfect 5/5 rating derived from a substantial 1536 reviews. While the provided data lacks specifics about OPTIS's feature set *beyond* the general 'Custom products, Product variants' categories, the overwhelmingly positive feedback strongly suggests that it provides a reliable, user-friendly, and effective solution for managing product options and variants. The sheer volume of positive reviews suggests OPTIS has addressed common pain points in product customization more effectively than Hubify. Given the limited information, OPTIS appeals to a much broader range of merchants who need a reliable and proven solution.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, OPTIS Product Options, Variant is the clear choice for the vast majority of Shopify merchants in 2026. Its extremely positive user feedback and substantial review count strongly indicate a reliable and effective solution. Merchants prioritizing stability, user-friendliness, and proven performance should select OPTIS without hesitation.
Hubify Product Custom Options may, in theory, appeal to merchants with *very* specific or unusual customization needs due to its advertised range of option types. However, the app's abysmal rating and near-nonexistent review count suggest significant problems with its implementation, making it a risky choice even for those niche use cases. Unless Hubify undergoes a significant overhaul and demonstrates a dramatic improvement in user satisfaction, it is difficult to recommend over the established OPTIS.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the drastically different ratings and review counts, OPTIS Product Options, Variant is likely significantly easier to use than Hubify Product Custom Options.
Which app is more reliable?
OPTIS Product Options, Variant is almost certainly more reliable. Its 5/5 rating from over 1500 reviews suggests a stable and dependable solution, whereas Hubify's 1/5 rating from a single review raises serious concerns about its reliability.
Does Hubify have any advantages over OPTIS?
Potentially, Hubify might offer a broader range of specific custom option types based on its description. However, this advantage is severely undermined by its extremely poor user feedback.
Which app should a new Shopify store choose?
A new Shopify store should almost always choose OPTIS Product Options, Variant. Its proven track record of user satisfaction and reliability makes it the safer and more sensible choice for a new business.
If Hubify has more custom option types, should I still choose OPTIS?
Yes, generally. User experience and reliability are more important than a larger feature set, especially when the user feedback for the app with a large feature set is so poor. It's better to have a reliable app with slightly fewer options than an unreliable app with a wider range of potentially buggy or unusable features.
