HX: Hide Express Payments vs Razorpay Securefor Shopify (2026)
Both HX: Hide Express Payments and Razorpay Secure are Shopify apps related to payment options, but they address fundamentally different needs. HX: Hide Express Payments focuses on simplifying the checkout experience by allowing merchants to hide express payment options, potentially reducing cart abandonment and streamlining the payment process. Its target audience appears to be merchants who want greater control over the payment methods presented to customers and believe that too many options can lead to confusion and lost sales. Razorpay Secure, on the other hand, is a comprehensive payment gateway solution enabling merchants to accept a wide variety of payment methods, including cards, wallets, and FPX. It emphasizes ease of onboarding, superior checkout experience, high success rates, and security via PCI DSS Level 1 compliance. The critical difference lies in their core functionality. HX: Hide Express Payments is about *removing* payment options, while Razorpay Secure is about *enabling* them. HX prioritizes a simplified checkout flow, betting that fewer choices will increase conversions for specific businesses. Razorpay Secure prioritizes offering a broad range of payment methods and a smooth payment process, appealing to merchants targeting diverse customers and needing a robust payment infrastructure. Both currently lack user reviews, making it difficult to assess their actual performance in a live store environment in 2026.

Our Verdict
HX: Hide Express Payments is suitable for merchants who have identified that offering too many payment options is hurting their conversion rates and want to experiment with a more streamlined checkout experience. This might be particularly useful for stores with a specific target demographic that primarily uses one or two payment methods. However, the lack of reviews makes it risky. Razorpay Secure is a better choice for merchants who need a comprehensive payment solution that supports a wide range of payment methods, especially if they are targeting customers in Malaysia or other regions where the supported wallets are popular. Its focus on security and ease of integration makes it a more appealing all-in-one solution, assuming it delivers on its promises of seamless payment flow and high success rates.
