Hyperspace Purchase Orders vs Progus COD (Cash on Delivery)for Shopify (2026)
Hyperspace Purchase Orders and Progus COD (Cash on Delivery) are Shopify apps targeting drastically different operational needs. Hyperspace Purchase Orders is designed for retailers with complex supply chain requirements, offering features like multi-store POs, supplier-specific configurations, and EDI integration. Its focus is on streamlining and centralizing the purchase order process for potentially larger businesses. Progus COD, on the other hand, concentrates on optimizing cash-on-delivery payment options, aiming to increase conversions by providing 1-click order forms and granular control over COD availability based on factors like location, order value, and product type. The primary difference lies in their core functionalities. Hyperspace Purchase Orders is a back-end operational tool for managing inventory procurement, while Progus COD is a front-end conversion optimization tool focused on payment options. The lack of ratings and reviews for Hyperspace Purchase Orders presents a significant risk compared to the perfect (albeit limited) ratings for Progus COD. Merchant size and business model will heavily influence which app offers better value. A large retailer with multiple stores will likely prefer Hyperspace Purchase Orders, whereas a smaller business focusing on COD sales might find Progus COD more beneficial.

Our Verdict
For large retailers with multiple locations and a need for advanced purchase order management, Hyperspace Purchase Orders *could* be a suitable solution, assuming its features work as advertised. However, the lack of reviews makes it a risky choice. Thoroughly investigate its functionality and consider reaching out to the developers for a demo. If EDI integration and multi-store ordering are not critical, exploring alternative PO management apps with existing reviews is advisable.
On the other hand, Progus COD is a clear choice for merchants who rely on cash-on-delivery as a significant payment method and want to optimize the COD experience for their customers. Its features for controlling COD visibility and simplifying the order process are valuable for increasing conversions and reducing the risk of failed deliveries. The positive reviews, albeit few, suggest that it delivers on its promises.
