Our Verdict
For merchants experiencing issues with customers seeing outdated prices on product pages, particularly those with rapidly fluctuating pricing or infrequent website updates, Idlr is the clear choice. Its ease of use and focus on preventing confusion make it a good solution for improving the user experience. Singleton is ideal for merchants who need to restrict access to their store content, such as wholesale businesses verifying customers or companies with members-only pricing. While both apps relate to pricing, their use cases are fundamentally different. The significantly higher number of reviews for Singleton suggests it addresses a more common or pressing need among Shopify merchants.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Idlr boasts 'one click installation & universal theme support. No code is required', suggesting simpler setup compared to Singleton, which likely involves more configuration to manage customer verification rules and custom registration forms.
Which app is better for a wholesale business?
Singleton is the more suitable option for a wholesale business, as it allows for verification of registered customers and restriction of access to pricing and 'add to cart' buttons for unapproved users.
Can Idlr prevent unauthorized access to my store?
No, Idlr focuses solely on keeping prices updated and does not have any features related to customer verification or access control.
Which app is better for reducing cart abandonment?
Idlr is more directly aimed at reducing cart abandonment by ensuring customers see the most up-to-date prices, thus preventing surprises during checkout.
If I have a subscription-based product, which app should I choose?
Singleton could be beneficial for subscription-based products as it can control which registered customers have access to the product listings and pricing, ensuring only active subscribers can see them. Idlr's price refresh would be less relevant in this scenario.
