Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing influencer marketing and needing a solution to automate gifting, sample requests, and employee freebies, IGF ‑ Influencer Gift Form is the clear winner. It simplifies order management and tracking specifically for this purpose. However, if the primary goal is to boost sales by leveraging engaging video content from social media, particularly Instagram and TikTok, then Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel is the superior choice. Its AI-powered product tagging and direct integration with these platforms provide a more compelling offering for enhancing the overall shopping experience and driving conversions. Based on the descriptions, IGF may have a slightly smaller learning curve due to its focused functionality on influencer gifting. Whatmore, while user-friendly, integrates more broadly with video platforms and store design, requiring more initial setup.
Which app is better for improving SEO?
Whatmore may indirectly improve SEO by embedding engaging video content on product pages and throughout the store. This can increase dwell time and potentially improve search engine rankings. IGF doesn't directly impact SEO.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, yes. A merchant could use Whatmore to showcase products through video and then use IGF to manage the gifting of those products to influencers featured in the videos. However, it's important to ensure the workflow is seamless and doesn't confuse customers or internal teams.
Which app offers more social proof elements?
Whatmore directly utilizes social media content (Reels and TikToks) as social proof, showcasing user-generated content and driving credibility. IGF manages influencer collaborations which indirectly provides social proof if influencers create positive reviews or posts about the gifted products.
Which app better handles returns related to influencers or videos?
IGF allows tracking of influencer orders, but doesn't specifically address returns. Whatmore doesn't directly address returns management in the provided information. Any return management would need to be handled through Shopify's standard return process, regardless of which app is used.
