Our Verdict
If a merchant needs a solution to easily integrate with various Indian logistics services, automate AWB generation, and manage returns, then ILS: Indian Logistics Services is the clear choice. It simplifies the process of connecting with carriers and managing shipping from within the Shopify store. However, if the merchant's primary concern is optimizing the pick, pack, and fulfill process within their own warehouse or fulfillment center, reducing errors, and speeding up order processing, then iPacky | Pick, Pack & Fulfill is the more suitable app. iPacky emphasizes accuracy and efficiency within the four walls of the warehouse, whereas ILS prioritizes connecting with external logistics providers.
Common Questions
Which app helps me get better shipping rates?
Neither app explicitly states it helps get better rates. ILS: Indian Logistics Services connects you with different providers, allowing you to potentially compare rates yourself. iPacky focuses on efficiency, not pricing.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, yes. iPacky could optimize the pick, pack process, and once the order is packed, ILS: Indian Logistics Services can be used to arrange shipping with an Indian carrier.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both descriptions claim easy setup. However, ILS: Indian Logistics Services' setup likely involves connecting to external carrier APIs, while iPacky's setup might involve defining bin locations and product notes. The 'easier' one depends on your familiarity with these processes.
Does either app support international shipping outside of India?
Only ILS: Indian Logistics Services mentions integration with logistics providers. One would have to investigate if those providers support international shipping. iPacky is focused on the internal process and doesn't mention international capabilities.
What type of reporting do each of the apps provide?
ILS: Indian Logistics Services focuses on real-time tracking of shipped orders and event-based email notifications, indicating delivery status updates. iPacky provides detailed packing reports, recording packer actions and insights for efficiency improvements.
