ILS: Indian Logistics Services vs Narvar Return and Exchangefor Shopify (2026)
ILS: Indian Logistics Services and Narvar Return and Exchange cater to distinct needs within the Shopify ecosystem. ILS focuses on streamlining shipping and logistics for merchants in India, offering integrations with multiple Indian logistics providers. Its strength lies in its comprehensive shipping features, including AWB generation, label printing, invoice creation with GST support, and real-time tracking. Narvar, on the other hand, centers on optimizing the returns and exchange process, aiming to retain revenue through customizable exchange options and store credit, making it an ideal choice for merchants focused on maximizing customer lifetime value by reducing refund losses. ILS is geared towards Indian merchants or those shipping heavily within India, especially those who desire multi-carrier support. Its integrated platform is designed to simplify order fulfillment and provide local logistics management. Narvar targets a broader audience of Shopify merchants who are concerned with reducing revenue loss from returns, and optimizing the return process for improved customer experience and potentially higher conversion rates. While both apps touch on aspects of order fulfillment, they ultimately address different stages of the customer journey. Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants operating primarily in India who need streamlined logistics and integration with local carriers, ILS: Indian Logistics Services is the clear choice. Its high rating and focus on Indian logistics providers make it well-suited for this specific market. The ability to generate AWB numbers, print shipping labels, and manage returns within a single platform offers significant efficiency gains.
However, for merchants globally who are seeking to reduce revenue loss from returns and improve the overall customer experience with returns and exchanges, Narvar Return and Exchange is the more appropriate solution. Its emphasis on customizable exchange options, store credit, and returns intelligence provides a powerful toolkit for maximizing customer lifetime value and optimizing the returns process. While its rating is lower, it directly tackles a significant pain point for many e-commerce businesses.
