ILS: Indian Logistics Services vs Protega Post Purchase Carefor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, ILS: Indian Logistics Services and Protega Post Purchase Care address vastly different needs for Shopify merchants. ILS focuses on streamlining the shipping and fulfillment process specifically for businesses operating within India, offering integrations with numerous Indian logistics providers like Delhivery, Bluedart, and IndiaPost. Its strength lies in its direct integration with these carriers, automation of AWB generation, and management of returns within a shipping context. ILS targets merchants who need efficient and integrated shipping solutions for the Indian market, particularly those dealing with a high volume of orders requiring local carrier support. Protega, on the other hand, offers a comprehensive post-purchase care solution designed to enhance customer retention and reduce operational costs. Its core functionality revolves around AI-powered fraud detection, smart returns and exchanges, and automated claim support across different types of fulfillment. While both apps share the 'Returns and warranty' category, their approach is distinct. ILS manages returns primarily as a logistical component of shipping, while Protega focuses on the broader post-purchase experience encompassing product protection, shipping protection, and claims management. Protega's value proposition lies in unifying these different aspects of post-purchase care into a single platform. Consequently, Protega would be valuable to merchants that want a centralized platform to manage customer issues, reduce fraud, and optimize the post-purchase journey, regardless of their geographical location. A key differentiator is that ILS has garnered positive user reviews (5/5 with 68 reviews), indicating established functionality and customer satisfaction, while Protega currently has no reviews, suggesting it may be a newer app or have a smaller user base.

Our Verdict
ILS: Indian Logistics Services is the superior choice for Shopify merchants based in India who need to integrate with local logistics providers and automate their shipping processes. Its positive user reviews and focus on Indian carriers make it a reliable solution for this specific market. However, merchants looking for a comprehensive, AI-powered post-purchase care platform that manages returns, exchanges, fraud detection, and claims, especially those operating outside India or requiring more advanced fraud protection, should strongly consider Protega Post Purchase Care. While Protega currently lacks reviews, its unified approach to post-purchase management may offer significant benefits to merchants wanting to improve customer retention and reduce operational costs through automated processes.
