ILS: Indian Logistics Services vs Returns Plus ‑ Australia Postfor Shopify (2026)
ILS: Indian Logistics Services and Returns Plus ‑ Australia Post cater to vastly different needs and target markets. ILS focuses on streamlining outbound shipping for Indian merchants by integrating with numerous Indian logistics providers. Its strength lies in simplifying AWB generation, printing shipping labels and invoices (including GST), and managing returns. Returns Plus, conversely, targets Australian businesses seeking to optimize their returns process through Australia Post's extensive network. Its emphasis is on automating returns with custom rules, providing customers with printer-less return options, and offering a branded returns portal. The fundamental difference lies in their core function: ILS facilitates efficient order fulfillment within India, while Returns Plus aims to improve the customer experience and reduce the burden of managing returns within Australia, specifically through leveraging Australia Post's infrastructure. The target audiences are also quite distinct - ILS serves Indian e-commerce businesses needing to manage their outbound logistics, while Returns Plus caters to Australian businesses with a substantial volume of return parcels (5,000+ annually) looking to streamline their returns process.

Our Verdict
For Indian merchants seeking to streamline their outbound shipping process and integrate with leading Indian logistics providers, ILS: Indian Logistics Services is the clear choice. Its high rating and focus on features like AWB generation, label printing, and GST-enabled invoices make it well-suited for this purpose.
However, for Australian businesses processing a high volume of returns (over 5,000 annually) through Australia Post, Returns Plus ‑ Australia Post offers a targeted solution. While its current rating is low based on a single review, its features like a customizable returns portal, printer-less returns, and automation rules could be beneficial for qualifying businesses. Businesses should carefully evaluate the integration with Australia Post's contract requirements before choosing.

Based on the descriptions, ILS likely handles international shipping through its integrations with Indian logistics companies, although the description doesn't explicitly state this. Returns Plus is focused on domestic Australian returns via Australia Post.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
ILS has a higher number of reviews, suggesting wider adoption and possibly a more mature user experience. However, both apps claim ease of use, making it difficult to determine without further information.

No, Returns Plus is specifically designed for returns processed through Australia Post. It integrates with their Returns Portal Plus service.
Which app is more suitable for a small business shipping only a few orders per week?

Does either app offer direct customer support?
The descriptions do not explicitly mention direct customer support for either app, but it is highly probable that they both offer some form of customer support.
