ILS: Indian Logistics Services vs UPS Shipping (Official)for Shopify (2026)
ILS: Indian Logistics Services caters specifically to merchants in India who need to integrate with a wide array of local Indian logistics providers, including Delhivery, Bluedart, and IndiaPost. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily operating within India and relying on Indian logistics providers like Delhivery, Bluedart, or IndiaPost, ILS: Indian Logistics Services is the clear choice. Its features are designed to address the specific needs and compliance requirements of the Indian market. The 5/5 rating, despite fewer reviews, suggests high satisfaction within its target audience.
However, for businesses using or planning to use UPS for their shipping needs, especially those with international operations or ambitions, UPS Shipping (Official) offers a more streamlined and integrated experience. While the rating is slightly lower, the higher review count indicates broader adoption and a robust support system from UPS. The key consideration is whether the merchant's needs are better served by a broad integration with UPS services or by specialized support for multiple Indian logistics providers.
Common Questions
Can ILS: Indian Logistics Services be used for international shipping?
While ILS integrates with IndiaPost, which can handle international shipments, its primary focus and the majority of its integrated providers are domestic Indian carriers. UPS Shipping (Official) is generally more suitable for comprehensive international shipping needs.
Does UPS Shipping (Official) handle GST invoices?
The description of UPS Shipping (Official) does not explicitly mention GST invoices, while ILS specifically highlights this feature. If GST invoice generation is critical, merchants in India should prioritize ILS.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
The ease of use likely depends on the merchant's familiarity with the respective shipping providers. If a merchant is already familiar with the Indian logistics ecosystem, ILS may be easier. Conversely, users familiar with UPS will likely find UPS Shipping (Official) easier to manage.
What kind of customer support is offered?
ILS mentions email notifications for different events, whereas UPS Shipping (Official) touts Highly Responsive Dashboard Chat Support included. If immediate chat support is important, UPS may be a better choice.
Which app offers better value for money?
