Image Size Chart Advanced vs Rubik Variant Images & Swatchfor Shopify (2026)
Image Size Chart Advanced and Rubik Variant Images & Swatch, while both sharing categories like 'Custom products' and 'Product variants,' cater to fundamentally different needs within a Shopify store. Image Size Chart Advanced focuses solely on providing a simple method for displaying pre-made size chart images. Its strength lies in its ease of use and targeted functionality for apparel or accessory merchants who already have size charts available as images and want a straightforward way to present them to customers. It explicitly states it *doesn't* generate size charts. In contrast, Rubik Variant Images & Swatch addresses a more complex issue: managing and displaying multiple images associated with product variants, especially where visual distinctions like color are crucial. Rubik Variant Images & Swatch's features are geared towards improving product presentation and reducing returns by showcasing only relevant variant images when customers make selections. It offers variant image swatches, color swatches, and AI-powered auto-assignment of images, making it suitable for stores with diverse product options where visual clarity directly impacts purchase decisions. While both apps claim seamless theme integration, Rubik focuses on visual presentation and variant management, while Image Size Chart focuses on accessible size information.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants needing a quick and simple way to display existing size chart images without complex variant configurations, Image Size Chart Advanced is the clear choice. Its promise of easy installation and 24-hour support makes it attractive for non-technical users who just want to add a size guide to their product pages. However, the extremely low review count in 2026 should raise concerns about long-term viability.
Conversely, if a store sells products with numerous variants (e.g., clothing with different colors and sizes) and wants to enhance the customer experience by showing only the relevant images for each variant, Rubik Variant Images & Swatch is the superior option. Its variant image swatches, AI-powered assignment, and focus on visual clarity make it a powerful tool for improving conversion rates and reducing returns. Its significantly higher number of reviews instills greater confidence in its reliability and functionality.
