Imagify vs OSOM Instagram feedfor Shopify (2026)
Imagify and OSOM Instagram feed are both Shopify apps listed under the 'Content - Other' category, but they address fundamentally different needs for merchants. Imagify focuses on leveraging AI to generate product images from descriptions, targeting merchants who lack design skills or time to create professional-looking visuals. Its primary value proposition is instant image creation and regeneration for product listings. OSOM Instagram feed, on the other hand, aims to enhance social proof and drive conversions by seamlessly integrating a merchant's Instagram feed into their Shopify store. It allows for customizable display of Instagram content, connecting the store with the merchant's social media presence. The most significant difference lies in their purpose. Imagify is geared towards content creation for product listings, promising time savings and visual enhancement. OSOM Instagram feed is focused on content curation and social media integration, aiming to leverage existing Instagram content to build trust and engagement with potential customers. The target audiences also differ: Imagify caters to merchants needing help with product visuals, while OSOM Instagram feed targets merchants actively using Instagram for marketing and looking to amplify their social presence on their online store.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with product photography and seeking a quick, AI-driven solution to create visually appealing product images without requiring any design expertise, Imagify appears to be designed for their needs, though its lack of reviews is a major consideration. However, given the current lack of reviews, OSOM Instagram feed is the safer choice.
On the other hand, if a merchant already has a strong Instagram presence and wants to leverage that social proof to drive conversions on their Shopify store, OSOM Instagram feed is the clearly superior option, especially considering its positive rating and existing user reviews. Its focus on seamless integration and customizable display makes it ideal for businesses looking to bridge the gap between their social media and e-commerce efforts.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
OSOM Instagram feed advertises a one-click install, suggesting a simpler setup. Imagify promises no design skills needed, indicating ease of use in image generation, but the installation process is not explicitly stated.
Which app is better for a brand new store?
It depends on the immediate need. If high-quality product images are lacking, Imagify might be tempting, if a risk is accepted. However, building an Instagram following will take time. OSOM Instagram feed would be more valuable once an active Instagram presence is established. Therefore, new stores should focus on product photography and description, or possibly use Imagify if they are comfortable being first to use it.
Which app is better for improving SEO?
Neither app directly addresses SEO, but improved product images from Imagify *could* indirectly improve SEO by increasing engagement and reducing bounce rate. A connected Instagram feed might provide some backlinks but the impact is expected to be minimal.
Which app requires more ongoing effort?
Imagify requires ongoing effort in writing good product descriptions that will generate useful images. OSOM Instagram feed is largely passive once set up, as it displays the existing Instagram feed.
Should I install both apps?
Potentially, but only if your business has budget and the need to improve product image presentation is as high as the need for improving social proof. Since they address distinct needs, they can complement each other. First, consider the reviews of each app. If OSOM Instagram feed has high reviews and Imagify has low or no reviews, consider the benefit of installing OSOM Instagram feed and then focusing on improving product photos and descriptions on your own.
