Impact By Sale vs MyFavoritofor Shopify (2026)
Impact By Sale and MyFavorito both operate within the 'Donations' category on Shopify, but they target distinctly different merchant motivations and customer bases. Our Verdict
The choice between Impact By Sale and MyFavorito depends entirely on the merchant's brand identity and target audience. If a business prioritizes environmental and social responsibility and wants to demonstrate tangible positive impact, Impact By Sale is the clear choice. The higher rating and existing reviews suggest a more established and reliable offering. On the other hand, MyFavorito could be effective for merchants in regions with strong sports team loyalties or those selling products closely associated with specific sports. However, the lack of reviews raises questions about its reliability and effectiveness. In most cases, the proven impact and established user base of Impact By Sale makes it the safer and more compelling option for the vast majority of merchants.
Common Questions
Which app provides more concrete, measurable impact?
Impact By Sale provides more concrete and measurable impact by tracking metrics like trees planted and plastic removed. MyFavorito only tracks the amount donated to sports clubs.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Without user feedback on MyFavorito, it is difficult to assess. Impact By Sale boasts automatic features, implying a straightforward setup, but direct experience is the best indicator.
Which app is better for building brand loyalty?
Both apps aim to build brand loyalty, but through different mechanisms. Impact By Sale fosters loyalty by aligning with customer values related to environmental and social responsibility. MyFavorito aims to create loyalty through emotional connections with sports teams. The better app for building loyalty depends on the specific values of the target audience.
What kind of reporting does each app offer?
Impact By Sale offers robust storytelling & donor feedback (videos, photos, stories) and automatic tax receipts. MyFavorito offers transactional data on donations, which may allow performance-based reporting, but it lacks visual storytelling elements.
Which app has a higher risk of backfiring or being perceived negatively?
MyFavorito carries a higher risk of backfiring if a customer does not support the specific sports team. Also, some may consider profiting off sports team loyalty to be cynical. Impact By Sale, by focusing on broadly supported causes, minimizes that risk, though some customers may be skeptical of 'cause marketing'.
