Impact By Sale vs Trees by EcoMatcherfor Shopify (2026)
Impact By Sale and Trees by EcoMatcher both aim to integrate charitable donations related to environmental impact directly into the Shopify checkout process. However, they differ significantly in their approach and features. Impact By Sale offers a more comprehensive solution, allowing merchants to automate charitable contributions based on various rules, including percentage of sales or customer add-ons. It focuses on demonstrable impact and provides tools for storytelling and transparency with customers, evidenced by the 'Impact Ticker' and donor feedback features. It targets merchants looking to deeply integrate social responsibility into their brand identity and customer experience. Trees by EcoMatcher, on the other hand, is a much simpler app focused solely on enabling customers to add trees to their cart. It appears geared toward merchants looking for a straightforward way to offer tree planting as an option during checkout without the complexities of managing multiple projects or demonstrating broad impact. Given the reviews and features, EcoMatcher would best suit merchants looking for a simpler, lighter approach to giving back.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive and transparent way to integrate environmental impact into their business, Impact By Sale offers a more robust solution. The ability to automate donations, track impact across multiple projects, and provide engaging storytelling for customers provides a significant advantage. However, for merchants seeking a simple, straightforward approach to offering tree planting as a customer add-on without the complexities of managing broader environmental initiatives, Trees by EcoMatcher might be sufficient. The lack of reviews for Trees by EcoMatcher is a significant consideration. Given the available data, Impact By Sale appears to offer a more complete and impactful solution for merchants serious about environmental giving.
