Infinite Product Options vs SA Variants: Combined Listingsfor Shopify (2026)
Infinite Product Options and SA Variants: Combined Listings both cater to Shopify merchants seeking to enhance product customization. Infinite Product Options, with its established nine-year history and a substantial 1989 reviews, focuses on offering a wide array of customization options directly on the product page, including text inputs, dropdowns, swatches, and conditional logic. This app positions itself as a comprehensive solution for merchants needing granular control over product variations and upsells through add-on bundles. SA Variants: Combined Listings, on the other hand, boasts a perfect 5/5 rating but from a significantly smaller sample size of 136 reviews. While the description provided is limited, the name suggests it may be focused on managing product variants and potentially combining listings, implying a greater emphasis on backend product organization and customer purchase efficiency than offering an extremely diverse set of product customization options. Thus, its focus is more on streamlining existing variant management, whereas Infinite Product Options concentrates on expanding customization possibilities.

Our Verdict
Infinite Product Options is the superior choice for merchants who prioritize deep product customization and the ability to offer complex options, such as engraving, monogramming, or add-on bundles. Its robust feature set and long history indicate a mature and well-supported app. However, the feature richness may come with a slightly higher learning curve.
SA Variants: Combined Listings is likely a better fit for merchants who are more focused on efficient product variant management and potentially combining listings for a smoother customer purchasing experience. The perfect rating is promising, but the limited number of reviews warrants cautious consideration. If the core need is streamlined backend organization and variant presentation, SA Variants could be valuable, though more information on its specific functionalities is needed to say for sure.
Common Questions
What types of product customizations does Infinite Product Options support that SA Variants: Combined Listings likely does not?
Infinite Product Options offers a wide array of options, including text inputs, dropdown menus, color and variant image swatches, radio buttons, date pickers, checkboxes, large textareas, widths, heights, dimensions, and more. SA Variants: Combined Listings' feature set appears to be centered on variant management not the customization detail offered by Infinite Product Options.
Which app is better for increasing the Average Order Value (AOV)?
Infinite Product Options is explicitly designed to increase AOV through add-on bundles and other paid customization options. The functionality of SA Variants: Combined Listings in relation to AOV is unclear, so Infinite Product Options is probably the better choice.
Which app is better for stores with simple product variations?
SA Variants: Combined Listings may be better suited for stores with relatively simple product variations that need to be well-organized. Infinite Product Options' complexity might be overkill in such cases.
How important is USA-based support when deciding between these apps?
If readily accessible, reliable support is crucial to your business and you prefer support from USA based individuals, Infinite Product Options has a specific advantage. If not, this support location may not be as relevant.
What are the risks of choosing an app with a lower number of reviews?
While SA Variants: Combined Listings has a perfect rating, the lower number of reviews compared to Infinite Product Options makes it more difficult to determine the app's long-term reliability and support quality. A larger sample size of reviews generally provides a more accurate reflection of user experience.
