Infinite Product Options vs Variant Option Product Optionsfor Shopify (2026)
Infinite Product Options and Variant Option Product Options both target Shopify merchants seeking to offer product customization beyond standard variant options. Infinite Product Options, with its 4.7-star rating and nearly 2000 reviews, positions itself as a long-standing, reliable solution for diverse customization needs, emphasizing user-friendly, USA-based support. Its strength lies in its wide array of option types (text inputs, dropdowns, swatches, etc.) and its ability to easily create add-on bundles, appealing to merchants prioritizing a comprehensive and well-supported solution. Variant Option Product Options, with a slightly lower rating of 4.6 and fewer reviews, centers on overcoming Shopify's variant limitations, specifically the 3 options and 100 variants limit. This positions it towards merchants with complex product configuration needs and those wanting to offer unlimited variants. The app's description emphasizes advanced features like color variant options, multi-select options, and conditional logic, presenting it as a more technically focused tool. Its description contains some keyword stuffing, suggesting it focuses on search visibility in addition to feature depth. Therefore, Variant Option Product Options is suited for stores with many customization options or needing to circumvent Shopify's variant limits.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a well-rounded and user-friendly product options app with excellent support and a broad range of features, Infinite Product Options is the superior choice. Its ease of use and proven track record (reflected in its higher rating and significantly larger review count) make it a safer bet for most Shopify store owners.
However, if a merchant's primary need is to overcome Shopify's product variant limitations and they require advanced configuration options like multi-select and conditional logic, then Variant Option Product Options is more compelling, despite its slightly lower rating and fewer reviews. This app targets a more niche, technically-savvy audience needing to create an extremely detailed product builder. It is the better choice for complex product customization beyond Shopify's limits.
Common Questions
