InPost – Tale Commerce vs PH Ship Rate & Track for FedExfor Shopify (2026)
InPost – Tale Commerce and PH Ship Rate & Track for FedEx both address shipping needs for Shopify merchants, but cater to fundamentally different strategies. InPost focuses exclusively on enabling InPost parcel locker and pickup point selection for customers in specific European countries. Its strength lies in its streamlined integration with InPost's network, eliminating the need for theme modifications and promising stability even during InPost outages. PH Ship Rate & Track, on the other hand, provides a comprehensive solution for merchants using FedEx, offering real-time rate calculations, label printing, and automatic tracking updates. It's a more feature-rich application targeting a broader range of shipping needs within the FedEx ecosystem. The primary difference lies in their scope and target carriers. InPost is highly specialized for InPost logistics in select European countries, offering a user-friendly experience for customers who prefer parcel lockers or pickup points. PH Ship Rate & Track aims to fully integrate with FedEx, offering a suite of tools to streamline FedEx shipping processes. The "Carrier Calculated Shipping" requirement of InPost, and its unavailability on the Basic Shopify plan, is a notable constraint, while FedEx integration may also require a merchant to have an established FedEx account. The choice will heavily depend on whether the merchant's shipping strategy is focused on InPost in Europe, or on using FedEx services more broadly.

Our Verdict
For merchants operating within the supported European countries and heavily relying on InPost parcel lockers and pickup points, InPost – Tale Commerce is the clear winner. Its ease of setup and focus on InPost's specific services offer a streamlined experience. However, the need for Shopify's Carrier Calculated Shipping (not available on Basic Shopify plans) is a key limitation. Conversely, for merchants who primarily use FedEx for shipping, regardless of location, PH Ship Rate & Track is the superior choice. It provides a full suite of tools to manage FedEx shipping, from rate calculation to label printing and tracking. Although requiring a FedEx account setup, it streamlines the entire FedEx shipping workflow, providing valuable time savings and reducing potential errors.
