Instagram & Facebook InstaShop vs Nabu for Google Shopping Feedfor Shopify (2026)
Instagram & Facebook InstaShop and Nabu for Google Shopping Feed target different aspects of online marketplace selling. InstaShop focuses on driving sales through social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Threads, and TikTok, enabling in-app purchases and automated social posting. Its strength lies in social commerce and streamlining social media marketing efforts. Nabu, conversely, is specifically designed for optimizing product feeds for Google Shopping, suggesting a focus on search engine-driven sales and reaching customers through Google's marketplace. The significantly higher review count for Nabu suggests a broader user base and potentially greater reliance on Google Shopping compared to a dedicated social media strategy. Our Verdict
The best app depends heavily on a merchant's marketing strategy. If social media engagement and sales are a priority, Instagram & Facebook InstaShop is the clear choice, offering a suite of features to automate posting, enable in-app shopping, and manage multiple social platforms. However, if the focus is on driving traffic and sales through Google Shopping, Nabu for Google Shopping Feed, with its higher review count suggesting greater user satisfaction and experience, is likely the better option. A merchant leveraging both strategies could potentially benefit from using both apps, though integration complexities should be considered. Smaller stores just starting out with one marketplace should pick the app that supports the marketplace they prioritize.
Common Questions
Which app is better for driving sales on Instagram?
Instagram & Facebook InstaShop is specifically designed for this, enabling shoppable posts, stories, and reels, and allowing customers to purchase directly within the Instagram app. Nabu does not offer these Instagram-specific features.
Does Nabu offer support for social media platforms other than Google?
Based on the provided information, Nabu focuses exclusively on optimizing product feeds for Google Shopping and doesn't include features for managing or automating social media posts on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
Which app is easier to set up and use for a beginner?
Without hands-on experience, it is hard to say for certain. But InstaShop might be easier to use for beginners. That's because it combines lots of separate products like post scheduling, social media marketing, etc. into one app. Thus, there is only one app to learn and one interface to get used to.
Which app is better for SEO?
Nabu's focus on optimizing Google Shopping feeds directly impacts a merchant's search visibility within Google. Instagram & Facebook InstaShop doesn't directly address SEO, but increased social engagement can indirectly influence search rankings.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, you can use both apps. Instagram & Facebook InstaShop focuses on social media, while Nabu focuses on Google Shopping. Using both allows you to target customers on social media and Google's marketplace.
